Teide Summit

Spain`s highest peak (Mt.Teide, 3718 m) is waiting for you! This is certainly the highlight of your hiking week.

The climb starts from Montaña Blanca (2320 m). First, the broad trail leads you gently through pumice and lava formations givibg the sensation of a "lunar landscape".

After about 1,5 hours the path becomes steeper and leads in many serpentines up to the refuge Altavista. Here you are already at a height of 3260 m. The further trail over solidified lava flows continues to the mountain station of the cable car (3550 m). Already there wide and deep views are overwhelming.

With the special permit from the Park Administration (Permiso), especially organized by us for the group, we are allowed to access the very summit and crater of the volcano. No other place on Tenerife offers these panoramic views of the entire island and of the neighboring islands. The arduous climb will be worth it!

After an extensive rest on the summit, descend to the cable car station where you take the cabin back down (cable car ride at present 12,50 € is not included in tour price). If the cable car should not work, for example due to high winds or bad weather conditions, make sure to have enough energy and leg power for the walk back down by the same route (3-3,5 hours extra).
